Stretch Goal #2 unlocked!

Hi Friends!

I just got out of bed to write this because a phone alert notified me that we hit $24,000 - AMAZING! On to Stretch Goal #2!

We know Dayton is small, but we also know it to be mighty! [We're looking at all of you folks that have made the Gem City Catfé the 8th most backed Cat Café Kickstarter - pretty impressive and we're only moving up!] 

On that note, our stretch goals will continue to make Gem City Catfé one of the most premium cat cafés and coffee houses. 

DRUM ROLL: We want our cat tree and play sculpture to be designed after the Wright Flyer. It's a great way to celebrate our history here in Dayton as a city of innovation. Plus, obviously, cats flying the Wright Flyer is going to be adorable. Additionally, this stretch goal will allow us to go far behind the typical cat trees and build in an entire elevated cat walk system. We're following Jackson Galaxy's advice and making as many "Super Highways" as we can! 

 

We truly can't thank all of you enough for bringing this project to life and supporting such a unique community space. We promise to continue to keep working hard to make Gem City Catfé an amazing Dayton icon. 

We know you've been telling your friends but with only 11 days to go, please continue to share. It typically takes a few exposures to an idea before someone decides to support it, so we want to continue to get in front of all the cat and coffee lovers that we can!

Hi Friends! 

Thank you all for supporting our project and helping Dayton continue to revitalize! Some states don't have cat cafes yet, and we're excited to bring something this unique to the Gem City. We're even more excited about how many homeless cats will be helped through adoption and education about spay/neuter, TNR and cat behavior.

We had questions about adding some additional merchandise, so we've come up with some fantastic products! Mostly everything is for humans, but we added an adorable cat bow tie from locally run non-profit, Project Warmth. 

Directions below on how to add merchandise to your Kickstarter pledge:

• Press the ‘Manage Your Pledge’ Button at the top of the page. 
• Increase your pledge in the ‘Pledge Amount’ box by the total of the items you want to add. 
• When the Kickstarter campaign ends you will receive a survey that will ask you questions so that you can explain how you would like the add-on money assigned.

Lastly, we really want to make sure everyone in Dayton gets a chance to hear about this project while we still have super cool rewards available! Please help us continue to get the word out :)

IS THIS REAL LIFE?! We just hit our intial goal! 

 We are so grateful and it's hard to express how meaningful this Kickstarter process has been. Thank you for backing our project, sharing encouragement, telling your friends and helping us save all the cats. 

We don't want to stop here! We're already Dayton's most funded brick and mortar project, but we want make this one of the best cat cafes in the world! We hope to implement everything in our stretch goals, but some of the higher ones may come later if we don't have the funds at opening. 

First up, upgraded furnishings!

 Again, we can't thank you all enough for making this a reality for Dayton. <3 

Update 2: Almost There (yay!) + VIP Tickets Almost Gone!

Hi Friends! We are almost there at 87%! (YAY!) We're so thankful for all of you backing our project and sharing with your friends. We can't thank you enough for helping us make this project a reality in Dayton! We would love to hit our initial funding goal this weekend. We know you have all helped a tremendous amount so far but if you have some energy left in you, you can help us in the following ways:

• Forward to a friend by email
• Tag them on our Facebook page
• Tell a friend in person while you're hanging out doing fun stuff
• Connect us with media outlets if you have hook ups

Also, if you were planning to update your pledge to attend our VIP Party, we only have two tickets left (holy moly)! We won't be able to add more due to hitting our building occupancy limit, so we don't want anyone to miss out if they were interested!

Hi Friends!

Thank you so much for backing the Gem City Catfé! We are so excited for the tremendous support we've received and it feels very surreal. Dayton is the smallest city of our size to have a unique business like this and while we had confidence that we could make it a success here, it's a huge relief to see our dream supported. 

We are excited to do big things in our community and feel incredibly grateful to be doing them with people like you! Save all the cats!
